Ever since I lowered my Prius a couple weeks ago I've been itching to do more suspension mods and have been considering getting some sway bars. I could have sworn I read something about Scion XB sway bars fitting the Prius but I have not been able to find it.

Been thinking about getting these Hotchkis bars:

    Front and Rear Set:
Hotchkis Sway Bars Red Steel Front 29mm Rear 13mm Dias Scion XA XB 22412 | eBay

    Front only:
Hotchkis 22414F Sway Bar Red Steel Front 1 1 8" Diameter Scion XA XB Kit | eBay

    Rear only:
Hotchkis Sport Suspension Anti Sway Bar Kit 22414R | eBay

Wasn't sure if it was both front and rear that fit our cars? Or is it just front? Or just rear? Anyone know for sure?

    Thanks!

The xB '08+ from Hotchkis fits our cars both front and rear. I have the Hotchkis on my car now.

How do you like them on your Prius? Does it improve the cars performance? Lastly, is it comporable in quality? Thanks man!

It was a noticeable improvement in handling and I already had a strut tower brace, lowered, and three underbody braces.

These bars are good quality I would definitely buy them again. And for the price of the TRD bar for the Prius, you can get the font and rear bar package from Hotchkis

Thanks for the feedback Peter. I'm definitely going to pick up the Hotchkis bars! Glad to hear they fit the front and rear

Go give Ryan from FredBeansParts a call. He's always given me great pricing on aftermarket parts.

The Toyota Scion XB rear bar from 2008 is virtual identical to the one sold in the Prius Plus suspension kit. Except that it's red.

Another member posted that the Rav 4 Sport front sway bar fits the gen3 Prius as well. 1 mm larger than the stock Prius front bar. Might be able to pick those up cheap at a salvage yard.

If you only do the front bar then you just increase the understeer. I just did the TRD rear bar only. What I got was near neutral steering. The TRD bar looks to be much larger and mounts much farther out than the Hotchkis.

Do you know if this model of Hotchkis fit? It is noticeably larger in diameter, but more expensive:
    "08-09 Scion xB Hotchkis Front 32MM & Rear 25mm Sway Bars 22429"
    08 09 Scion XB Hotchkis Front 32mm Rear 25mm Sway Bars 22429 | eBay

    Compared to these:
"Hotchkis Sway Bars Red Steel Front 29mm/Rear 13mm Dias Scion XA/XB 22412"
Hotchkis Sway Bars Red Steel Front 29mm Rear 13mm Dias Scion XA XB 22412 | eBay

    Thanks again.

This is what I had ordered from my parts guy at FredBeansParts. It is the 32mm front and 25mm rear. Give him a call, his name is Ryan, he was able to get me a price for the set cheaper than that eBay listing. Let him know that Peter w/the Prius referred you. Name dropping me won't get you a discount, but might help him remember all the suspension parts I ordered from him.
