    LOL!

Having seen the grief earlier Prius GPS systems suffered, we simply went with a Garmin. So when I saw the title, I thought it might be the speed limiter, not the navigation block. Of course the easiest approach to increase the top speed is to mount oversized tires on the front wheels. But I had speculated about a 'divide-by' circuit from the wheel encoders.

Well I am amused to see it is just making the Prius provided GPS into something more useful. Nice hack although I am still under one impression.

Are the Prius based, GPS systems still 'painful' to update the maps? The Gen I systems were notorious for difficult to upgrade.

    GOOD LUCK!

Yeah... I didn't want a GPS in my new Prius but wanted the Entune system so I had to go for it. So far I'm very unimpressed with the Nav system in my 2013 V. Voice commands are clunky at best, Menus aren't as intuitive as even the Gen II Nav, and you have to buy an override to allow even the passenger to type in info. At least on the Gen II I still could put the thing in maintenance mode :)

Only time will tell if the $1000 I paid for the 3 Vs. the 1 will be worth it for the Entune system.

    Hello,

can anyone confirm, please, that in order to add
a video input to my 6.1 Display Audio in Prius V two I need this:

Beat-Sonic AVC39 Audio Video RCA Input Cable Harness

and to make sure it works while driving I need this:

Toyota Prius Navigation Speed Lock Override V1 or V3

    or this:

    Beat-Sonic TVK-61 DVD Video-In-Motion Control Module

Just got mine installed, and I'm happy to say it works perfectly. Thanks so much for the time you've taken to research and build these kits cproaudio!

Does anyone with CPROAUDIO NAV bypass on 2010/11 Prius know if it will also allow you to enter digits on the dash touchscreen while connected to a call via a bluetooth phone? i.e. "press 1 for sales, 2 for customer support etc"

It's easy to test it yourself. Just park your own vehicle and do it. If the stock radio has that ability, then my bypass will also do the same. My bypass will not add new functions that the OEM stereo does not have. Whatever you can do when parked, my bypass will do. It replicates all parked functions but at driving speed.

Stock radio allows me to use DTMF buttons on touchscreen with car in park so I guess it will work with the bypass while moving.

I have a 2010 Prius II and have an after market OEM head unit with DVD playback. It works great while parked but not so much while driving which one should I get ?

No, you should not get one. This bypass is catered to factory head unit only, not aftermarket. You should consult the shop and the installers where you purchased the aftermarket head unit from.

Fits perfect in the current slot no ugly adapter required. Overall a good unit. I have had an issue losing the factory AUX but have gotten USB, Ipod, Bluetooth, and built in navigation in return. I just need help disabling the   o_O :cautious: video lock and it will be great.

I may have missed it, but is this doable for a 2013-14? I am purchasing a Prius five around August/September.

    Thanks!

How do we order these now?
I've tried sending in a message via PriusChat shop, but no response on multiple attempts both logged on and not logged on.

    Anybody still selling these kits?
    I have a 2013 Canadian Prius Touring, Non-JBL, 6.1" touchscreen.
