Pretty useless; The GPS and maos will work, but no traffic. None of the services will work (rdio/pandora, etc).

Honestly, if I could do it again, I would buy the package with the single driver keyless door and the low-end stereo, then install a nice head unit with a bright screen and better GPS (the one in there is SLOW to respond to input).

Yea, you have to have a phone with internet access to entune to work.

Know what you mean, had a cheap Garmin 50 and it was loads more useful on the fly. Thankfully I know my routes pretty well and don't punch in addresses too often.

I agree the rest of the apps are a bit of limited usefulness, need to connect a device that could probably run it's own apps in order to run the Entune apps.

Otherwise Entune handles the phone and music via bluetooth and shows me where streets are, which is all I require on a day to day basis.

You can still use the maps... and you can still connect through the bluetooth on your phone for music that is stored on your phone... but that is about it.

Haha yeah no, nothing will do anything without a phone hookup. Navigation will still run as it is not part of Entune none of the other "apps" function without a smartphone with an active bluetooth & internet connection, with the app.

So can I assume then that when Entune 3-year 'trial' runs out, the nav will still work?

Entune is no longer a trial. Toyota has removed the monthly cost, so feel free to use it. The Nav has never required Entune so will continue to function. Traffic will require Entune as always.

I haven't found the exact answer yet to the question: where does the nav get it's traffic data? I don't have a data plan on my smart phone yet the nav shows traffic. If it's getting it from Entune, where is Entune getting it from without my phone providing a link to the internet? Just curious.

As far as I know, traffic is updated thru a Sirius subscription. I have the 2012 Prius V with the ATP package. I have a partial subscription so I can get the fuel prices in my area.
