Newb here but I have been lurking this forum for a little while. Just picked up a 2013 prius 3! Can anyone tell me if the back seat from the lexus will bolt in easily as the front seats do?

I'd like to see that .... pic please.

Would that not triggle an error message to the ECU because from what I know, airbags needs to be "registered" by the ECU if you do such transplants.

Don't get be wrong, I'd love to do the swap but 3 things are stopping me. One is this ECU thing, the second is the legalities here for the seat to be engineered and lastly is the safety/compatibility of the airbag to the car.

Sean (sfv41901) has installed them with no problems. Have you asked him?

I do indeed have them in my prii.

They are almost pnp. The wiring loom on the passenger seat needs to be swapped from the OEM seat to the CT Hybrid seat. Also the seat sits lower so depending on what u like, u might need to swap the track.

If ur driver seat is power, then half ur battle is done. The harness plugs right in. The only thing that has to be done is u need to splice into the 12v pos. The CT seat uses 2 hot leads where as the prii only uses 1.

The airbags are the same. As long as u dissconnect the neg 12v accessory batt cable u will have no SRS codes thrown.

The rear seats fit in the reg Prii however they are not as wide so u will have a 1inch gap on each side. This can be fixed by adding more padding under the leather.

interesting. FYI, I am a "Prius Guy" (still) and just bought a 2011 Lexus CT 200h. I actually was just involved in an accident with my Prius 2005. For a nice side project, I also found another Prius same year and color with different trim. I am enjoying my Lexus but starting to repair the hybrid on my other Prius. One will be for every day the other is my nicer car. Anyways...this is interesting. Not something I expected. I know a lot of the parts are similar. Anyways, my Prius is an older model, so I am not expecting them to be the same. Anyways, I was just reading on this by accident. I have a lot of work to do later. (FYI, I do have a 2005 Prius 5 for parts if anyone has any requests).

I have tried them but as mentioned, they do bold up however then end caps need to be reworked to make them fill in the gaps.

The carpet would also need to be addressed as the CT rear seat isn't as wide & stops before the end of the carpet.

Hello, I was wondering were you spliced the 12v second lead from? All the way from battery or somewhere else? Do the seat have extra lumbar support that seems to be my problem on longer trips! You also said that the rail might need to be swaped is that an easy job? I have done some before that I wish I hadn't tried

For all that are wondering I have managed to pick up a set of 2014 ct200h seats for my 2012 Prius. The front seats bolt in perfectly of course I don't have power for the power seats nor do I have JBL amp to worry about but I will get to that later. I also purchased the rear seat for the ct200h and let me say it is not bolted Plug and Play if you bolt it to the factory Prius swivel mounts on the left and right side it causes the latch to sit too high the ct200 needs to be raised up about 1 inch in order for it to lash correctly and the seat bottom will push in but you need to remove the factory Prius child seat latch on the left and right side as it will not allow the ct200 seat to push back all the way to clip in. So problems all around with the rear also you need the ct200 mount that bolts the seats to the floorboard for the back support the one that goes in the middle because the Prius one pushes the seat way too far forward and causes it to sit too low also. I'm still trying to locate the ct200 mount but right now it is not working out. If anyone successfully bolted the rear seat from a CT 200 to a Prius let me know as I'm currently trying to figure out how to possibly modify the existing mounts or make extensions to allow these seats to bolt in correctly
