Spend $10k to upgrade to a Gen III from Gen II?

    Yes it does depend I traded a 10 Rav4 and they gave me KBB said 19 on a trade and I got $20650 plus the tax savings don't think it would have been any better to sell out right but every car and market is different I try to hit 3-5 dealers to see what they value my trade at.

    That works!

    I tried trading in my red Prius and was getting 15K so I sold it myself for 19,250...

    How long did it take for you to sell it yourself?
    And how did you post it? craigslist?

    Took 2-3 weeks, I had 3 people total look at it. Person #2 bought it. Yep, Craigslist. It's more of a pain but even with tax savings I made out $3k+.
