At the jiffy lube

Friends don't let friends go to iffy lube.

 

who knows what they're putting in there for earl?

 

They striped a Oil pan drain plug on me years ago on a Honda Civic. Never go back.

 

why not do it yourself? its easy... and Jiffy Lube is the last place I would trust my Prius with lolz...

 

make sure they put 0w-20 at the proper level

 

They also like to toss out the washers on the drain plugs.

 

few years ago i went in for an oil change, i paid, and was on my way. while on I-5, my car overheated along a dangerous curve known as the Terwilliger curves. rainy and slick, downhill, rush hour, very dangerous, especially on the shoulder barely wide enough for a compact. opened my hood and saw the radiator cap sitting on top of the radiator with fluid all over the engine bay. called iffy lube and the loser says to me, why don't you bring it in tomorrow since we're getting ready to close and we'll take care of you then. i told the loser that i'm stranded and asked him to either bring me coolant and water or come tow my car to his iffy lube. he says no. luckily for me, i had a gallon of emergency water in the car and managed to get the car off the next exit. walked to a local store and bought coolant and water myself. then drove to iffy lube and this loser, from the phone call, was locking up getting ready to leave. i had to twist his arm to re-open the shop to drain my radiator and re-fill. while he's doing this, he's on the phone with one hand and filling my radiator with the other spilling it all over the engine bay not even paying attention. next day i call this iffy lube and explain. then i called corporate and that same day the regional manager calls me profusely apologizing about the bad apple and offers to clean the engine bay and give me some free service. didn't take his offer and never went back to any of them. good luck.

 

That's a darn shame. THAT's the reason I'd rather do things myself.

 

Everytime you go to Jiffy Lube, God kills a kitten. True story.

 

They had right oil?

 

I like how they made sure they had the car level in the picture you attached.
It's the important details like that, that make them so ,,,, special....

Did you see them pour 0-20W syn in there?
Did you check the oil level the next day just for grins?

 

Well then, that is absolutely conclusive, 500 miles without your engine blowing up is proof the Jiffy Lube is ethical and knows what they are doing

The stealer stripped the drain plug on my son-in-law's Camry. All the crows in the world is black.

I agree with the above statement. Jiffy Lube is horrible, make sure you double check all the work they do... even then I wouldn't go there.

 

PC member aren't too fond of JIffy Lube BTW.. just in case you didn't notice.

 

I guess each person needs to learn the hard way about things like this. Might get by just fine for a few changes, but eventually the lesson will be learned - hopefully without a lot of expense or trouble.

 

I have to admit, I worked there was I was in High School.. boy did I learn a lot.. what NOT to do! lol..
