Overreaction to Paula Deen?

massParanoia is a puny white guy in a menial job in the military. He tries to escape his existence by arguing for the sake of arguing. That does not make him a racist.

Menial job, he'll have to address that. I thought he was EMT saving lives but not sure. He likes his guns. I think he is married with children. He is a family guy first.

He is conservative to the point of nausea.

With his proven (shit) math skills and the personality of the armchair upon which he sits I'm not sure what kind of medical aid that he renders; only that I feel sorry for the poor souls that seek his "care".

Sage is a good guy. He cares about preventive medicine. He is an expert on reducing bills and conservation. He is most likely a multi millionaire but is frugal which is in part how he attained his wealth. I'm guessing he lives in a awesome home with a view of the city below. I bet he drives a Prius but his wife has a MB cause he adores her. She may be younger than him.

It's funny you bring this up, because I was thinking about tosh. Does Daniel Tosh, or on the other side of the coin movies like "Don't be a menace to south central LA while drinking your juice in the hood" constitue satire and therefore get a pass?

No idea. I think Tosh is hilarious. If you take it at face value, it is extremely racist. But racist to everyone. Taken as satire, it is funny but very much over the top.

I don't think it is really any different than Eddie Murphy in the 80's and 90's or Tyler Perry today. Anyone seen the "Madea" movies? Stereotypes and racism everywhere. But it is satire and funny, so it is a free pass?
