When my son was in kindergarten they had to make posters showing what they were thankful for.

He was thankful for the color orange.

 

My wife would have loved that car back in her younger days when we were first dating. Her two favorite colors were orange and yellow

 

Looks very cool actually. I'd step it up and get the seats covered in exotic orange leather. One of the best looking Ferrari I've seen was a dark blue convertible with orange interior and top. Too many people here play it safe with gray or black leather when Katskin offers many exotic colors like red, blue, etc.

 

did u have to custom order that color? i just did mine in titanium burl wood last night, not sure how i like it so far...

 

A lot of people put wood in their cars, but I am of the opinion that wood looks out of place in the Prius (unless there's not much grain showing like black bird's eye maple found in the Lexus). Solid colors like piano black, orange, etc. look much better especially with the sporty steering wheel.

Oh, OP, upgrade to the JDM piano black steering wheel. It'll go great with the orange interior.

 

Yeah I am not sure how I feel about it. I immediately felt like brushed aluminum or something a bit more "plastic" would have worked better. Luckily it was only $90 so I can ditch it if I want...

 

Katzkin does make a few orange colors, including one that matches your existing seat cover exactly.

Simply replace some of the existing grey with black (door inserts and center console covering). The blue OEM shift knob looks out of place with orange so replace that with one of the electronic shifters in black or even JDM piano black shift knob to go with the JDM piano black steering wheel. Silver looks fine to me but you can replace or cover all silver trims with black or black chrome if you like.

But it's one of those " I can admit it looks great, but I wouldn't personally do it" mods.

When I was a kid, just entering adolescence, when "image" with friends becomes way too important, my parents bought a mid 70's Datsun pick-up, that was Pumpkin Orange. It had an ugly canopy, and the bed was lined with ugly green indoor/outdoor carpeting.

My parents loved it. My brother and I were embarrassed to be seen riding around in the back of it. Since then, anything that is "Pumpkin Orange" that doesn't appear at Halloween, and is automotive related gives me flashbacks to that durable, but ugly Datsun pick-up. I just can't do "Orange" and automobiles.

But had I not suffered that Pre-Adolescence scarring? I'd say it looks really good.

Also, if you do swap out the silver trims with black, I'd get the aluminum pedals powdercoated in black so they're not the only silver items you have in your car.
