Today I noticed that the front turn signal headlight cover (passenger side) is damaged (hole in it) on my 2010 Prius and needs to be replaced. There's nothing in the owner's manual about this, as far as I can see. Has anyone done this? Is it necessary to take the car to the dealer? Thanks.

Is it the headlight, or turn signal? You mention both.

Either way, you probably need to replace the whole housing.

Both the headlights and turn signals are sealed units. You will need to purchase a new piece and replace it or have a dealer/shop do it. Its pretty easy to replace it yourself if you are comfortable enough to do an oil change.

Yeah, should be able to get one much cheaper at a salvage yard or from eBay.

It's the turn signal cover. Sorry for the confusion.
