Windows will be tinted on Monday can't choose between the three options. I spend 80% of my time on the freeway.

Ca law is no tint on the front windows

    Car color Blizzard Pearl.

When I lived in Sacramento I did 20% all around on my cars, now I just go with 35%.

Ether should be great, I just personally don't like doing the rears different from the fronts, doesn't look good IMO.

I voted for 15% but not knowing the law in CA, I would go as dark as is legal all the way around for a consistent look

Since tint isn't legal at all on the front windows in CA, I'd go with something that isn't quite as obvious.
I have 35% all around (legal in IL) and I'm pretty happy with it.

There are so many illegally tinted cars in CA that you can get away with 30%. Like Paradox, I'm not a fan of disparate tints. However, 15% on the rears will make the 30% up front appear much darker so take your chance. Dark tint looks best on BP.

I can't vote since legal tint is not among the choices. So sad that being legal never even occurred to you.

Easier said than done. In CA, you can't put any tint on the front side windows as they're already tinted 75% in the glass. Meanwhile, you're legally enjoying 28% on your own front side windows in MS.....

I'm leaning toward 30% all the way around 15 on the hatch

I have a Blizzard Pearl. I did 15% on the rear half. Living in Sacramento I was considering 50% on the fronts, but decided to avoid the attention, as I've run into issues on previous cars with front windows tinted.

    Andre.

So 15% rear nothing in front?

On my previous car. I had 35% in front and 20% rear got a fix it ticket. Re tinted 20% all the way around no ticket it's really up to the cop. I figure ill be spending a lot more money for formula 1 pinnacle might as well be conservative and try 30% all the way around 15% on the hatch.

But on the Prius 50% is practically nothing as it'll still look untinted (or rather, as dark as factory glass) because of the large expanse of glass letting in the light. You'd have to go 40% or darker to see a noticeable difference.

Correct. Nothing in the front. I agree 100% depends on the cop. If you get pulled over for one thing, the ting will just be tacked on though. I try to avoid interaction with the CHP if at all possible. My warning happened at 10 pm in downtown when I came back to my parked car. A cop car was parked behind mine and as soon as I got in the cop got out and gave me a warning. It was 50% tint...apparently noticeable enough for him to complain about.

I don't think you'll be fooling anyone if you do 30% all the way around. Tinted front windows really aren't that hard to spot regardless of whether the front and back door windows are the same %. Once again, completely depends on what kind of cops you encounter.

The guy who tinted my Prius has one himself, also in white, with 15% in the back and 50% in the front. It's darker then factory glass...because you're adding it to the factory glass. It's not dark by any means, but I'm sure it helps a little.

Or I would be if my windows were tinted. I am considering 3m crystalline window tint.

That's quite beside the point. Even the clear CR 90 is illegal on the front side windows in CA as that'd put it below 70% VLT minimum (90 x 75% factory tint for an aggregate of 67.5%). Makes no sense to pat yourself on the back because you're able to go to 28% legally in your state and reap the benefit of 3m crystalline's heat reduction.

Go with 15% all around. I have 18% and it's blacked out for the most part. You can see in at certain angles though.
