    That does look cool...
But I can live without it.

Especially because we are dealing with a piece of equipment of which the greatest projected benefit is the supposed ability to never have to touch it. Your suppose to keep it unseen...in your pocket.

And outside of hardcore Prius enthusiasts, I don't think it's going to impress anyone.

Like I own The Prius...that's enough HSD for me...I don't think I need my Fob announcing my admiration for HSD technology.

I have the Parking Valet assistant app. Takes you back to the car every time...

The key is so light weight and tiny, this just makes it more thick and prevents scratches.... I've had the service department drop my key twice now and it's scratched, at least this would prevent that.... It's more for me to enjoy than announcing the tech...

    Of course.

You don't really have to justify the purchase to me or anyone. Enjoy.

I DO have a cover, and have kept a cover on my Fobs. But from a protection and utilitarian P.O.V. I prefer the rubber covers such as the ones sold at the Jacket Store. They prevent scratches, I imagine provide an additional level of water proof protection, and they don't make the Fob significantly bigger or heavier, which I like.

I mean, let's be honest. This cover looks cool. Why else would anyone want it? It covers up buttons, reducing functionality, and for what it is, is extremely expensive. I still suspect for most purchasing it, it is a novelty, vanity purchase. Because I believe there are better utilitarian options for much cheaper.
