You are not alone. Spiders is a part of life, some just have more of them than others.

It seems obvious to me that something in the vehicle is attracting them. Try to keep the car as clean as possible inside and eliminate any air fresheners. As posted above, something is attracting them if they are more prevalent in your Prius than elsewhere.

If you have an infestation, I would resort to a bug bomb if needed. I think though that is only a quick fix. I see a few spiders from time to time in our Prius, but not every day as you. However I am in a different part of the country too.

I already have that - thats what I spray the vent visors and mirrors down with daily to keep the spiders out of there. I bought it for my boat, and it does work pretty good at repelling spiders (although this morning, after generously dousing my Prius last night, there were 2 spiders sitting right at the spray spots - still a lot less vs. had I not sprayed)

BUT it smells VERY strong of vinegar. You wouldnt want it inside the car, trust me.

I removed the air fresheners today. Lets see tomorrow....

I personally think that the spiders have caught on to Toyota's reliability as a car maker and are looking forward to eco-friendly, low cost rides in my car!

Cedarcide makes non-toxic sprays of 10 to 20% Texas cedar oil. It's expensive but a good repellant for people and pets and a pretty good insecticide, smells OK and probably won't arm Prius interior.

Goodness! Have you thought of documenting your poor prius's arachnid invasion experience and turning it into a movie? I bet it'd be creepier than "Snakes on a Plane". I can see it now......."Spiders in a Prius".......okay, not so catchy, but......you get the picture. Wow! The worst experiences I've had with bugs in my Prius are....Wasps...!!! I've been invaded by two big fat ones so far - heavens knows how they got in the car, but they both crawled out of the windscreen air vent weeks apart!! Almost crashed the car too. And curiously, one of the buggers wouldn't leave and sat on the A pillar for the whole ride watching me menacingly. All I could think was......Anaphylactic Shock......Anaphylactic Shock........and of course, Sod's Law..!!!!

On a side note, and conveying my utmost horror and sympathy at your very personal nightmare, I hope you DO succeed in getting rid of the multi-legged multiple eyed buggers...!!! They sound like the stuff of very bad dreams. I'd literally die of fright if I found just one of these critters crawling around in my Prius - never mind several football teams worth....!!! :(

Lol, my prius would be gone if I had such a problem and it were prius specific.
