I test both the 2013 Corolla and Highlander screen touch radios. To be honest comparing to the PC 1/2 radio is a big improvement. Bluetooth work great, like the phone screen better and all contact list pass to the HU not like the standard one, pandora and Ipod wireless works great. no navi due to is the standard touch screen. I still use my phone for GPS. I go with this upgrade. later I post the radio installed.
If someone is interested in this mod. there's a Corolla Radio on ebay at a good price: 2013 Toyota Corolla Tocuhscreen Radio | eBay I already ordered mine to do this, also I was looking that Rostra have the backup camera and the navigation module (too expensive) for add-on to this radio.
JT TORRES, Still don't understand why the need of the Corolla mounting Brackets? The Prius C ones doesn't fit at all?
I think you miss understood my post, you will need the factory brakerts (prius radio)and my dash kit. Btw you already have the dash kit, I sold it to you a few moths ago. All the connection for the corolla radio are already there and it works 100%. Hope this helps.
Now we talking, thanks. yep I have my dash kit, what happen Is that the post was understanding that we need the Corolla not the Prius. Thanks for the clarification. Now how much for the camera?? And do you work with GPS add-ons on this type of radios???
I believe the One is missing the "talk" button on the steering wheel compared to higher models. Is that going to be a problem with dialing by name on the bluetooth?
If you buy an aftermarket radio, you can program whatever buttons on the wheel for the radio to do whatever you want. Personally, I never switch source via the mode button, so in my C2 I plan to make it my "voice command" button.
Make a thread of the Highlander bought installed. The only question I have is What function does the connector I indicated below?? The Prius C OEM also had it with no conection at all.
