Yes, I did add them and on both mirrors. Humbling and embarrassing to admit I placed them on the inside,( nearest the window), it wasn't effective and I had to remove them. I need to get 2 new ones an place them on the furthest from window area of the mirror.

I purchased two of these blind spot mirrors from Pep Boys and found that the best place to install them was on the lower inside corners. They do not block any significant rear vision in the side mirrors this way but are sufficiently curved to cover the blind spot well. Best placement may depend on the curvature and the angle of the blind spot mirror on its backing plate, so I always sit in normal driving position while trying out different mounting positions.

I bought a clip-on from Walmart for under $10, and mounted it to the A-pillar on the drivers side.
    Advantages:
    1. Stays clean, even in winter.
    2. Doesn't get knocked off in the carwash.
    3. Great field of vision.
    4. Doesn't block defroster vent for side window.
    Disadvantage:
    1. Can display reflections from side window under certain lighting conditions.

I've tried so many blind spot mirrors on The Prius it became ridiculous.

After many, many types, I came full circle (pun somewhat intended) and I currently have the very generic, simple 2 inch round ones on the outside lower corner of my mirrors.

IMO there seems to be something about the shape and size of The Prius mirrors that makes the placement difficult. Or I just couldn't find one that both functionally worked well, and looked good. I think the Prius mirrors are a little undersized.

They all are an eyesore. Just adjust the drivers side mirror outward until you can no longer see the side of the car with your head against the pillar. Do likewise with the passengers side mirror but sitting normally. Voila, no blind spots!

    I do both.

I like blind spot mirrors. It's just another level of potential safety, even if my mirrors are properly adjusted.

Plus they help when backing into a parking spot or parking near a curb. I like being able to see the curb and the lines.

I have had 3 or 4 near misses in one week. The mirrors are to small for safety IMO. Will be looking for some blind spot mirrors this week.

Just a thought: I would be concerned about the inside mirror interfering with airbag deployment or getting fired into my face in an accident. I had a friend who had his radar detector get 'deployed' into his face from being mounted in a similar location. Not a pretty sight...
