I made a deal with Discount Tire to put on a new set of Michelin AS energy savers. They are going to give me 40 dollars a tire for my Accelera tires that have 3000 miles on them. You can buy these tires for 45 to 50 dollars a tire. When all is said and done it will cost me 448.00 drive out. I asked about premature wearing out of the thread and he said they prorate it right there at their store if there was any problems. I just have to be sure and balance and rotate every 5000 miles which is included with the tire purchase. Seems pretty good to me what is your take ??.

I paid $800 for my 17", minus $20/tire for the OEM Toyo and a $70 MIR. It was a special order tire.

I purchased the same tires in all season form for my 15" wheels from Discount here in Phx several months ago for $601 and change. Including the optional road hazard warranty which was $89 and a Michelin $70 rebate which I got Discount to apply instantly instead of waiting on the lame Visa gift card. I was able to do this after getting a quote from Costco which offered the same tires with the Michelin rebate applied instantly.

So, unless your price also includes the optional road hazard warranty, you will be paying about about $89 more than I am (deducting my road hazard price). Is there still a rebate going on with Michelin? You should ask. Mention that you saw it recently and you want it.

Great tires, by the way. Much better than the stock Yokos. Smoother and quieter ride. MPG was affected for the first several thousand miles or more by a few, but I'm back to about 54 avg now after about 12k miles.

My price is including the road hazard and tax. Total out the door price. I sure hope it improves my mileage before 12k miles though.. Just saying

Like I said, the mpg drop lasted several thousand miles, not 12k miles...that's how much I've driven..
