Hey everyone. I bought a new 2012 leftover prius v and love it. It's my first hybrid. Either way I have noticed a slight wind howl around 45 and up. Do you guys prius do this?

Just wondering if you guys think I should take it back and have it checked. I have no idea where to look on this.

Thanks in advance and it will be nice talking with you guys

A door or window sealing issue, perhaps. Ours is quiet as fast as I've wound it, around 85mph in attack, 75mph in cruise.

Well it's not a big howl and sounds like its coming from the front. I have looked everywhere for irregularities and couldn't find any. I could just go on with it. I think I will tell the service people at the 5000 mile check up

Probably not OEM tires. We've got the 17" OEMs on the v Five and they are quiet, especially so at 41/40 psi.

I wouldn't call them "quiet" by any stretch of the imagination, but the OP doesn't have 17s anyhow.

I agree the v is not all that quiet but it is quieter than my previous 2010 IV and my 2008 Accord V6 before that. Most noise I here is from road/tires. No wind howl even at 80.

The A20s are one heckuvalot quieter than the (almost immediately replaced, to protect my hearing and sanity) OEM Bridgestone Duellers on the CR-V!
