:) Do a You Tube search for installation of the LEDs behind the mirrors. I checked out two yesterday. Fairly simple procedure. I have the LED mirror cover on order as well as the LEDs for the mirrors. I'll install both at the same time.

I have been busy with other projects and have done nothing on the arrows in the mirrors. Will get fired up when I see someone get theirs done.

Sorry I don't have a C, just the Hatchback, pretty much the same since the OEM blinker wiring is there after I added the 3-in-1 led combo with my Power folding mirrors. I have installed on my '12Odyssey & '13Prius both looks great!
I suggest polish out the of the led arrow shape for way better visibility in Day time.

Here is short clips of led arrow with the mirror polished out.

Thanks NoMoreNow. As I have been noticing "factory" setups, they too have that area polished out. Looks like that's the way to do it.

How do you get the mirror cover off?

The back of the mirror back can be removed once you remove the mirror glass assembly. I believe there are four tabs, the hardest one is on the inside right where the mirror folds in. Just push them out gently with a small screwdriver to pop off the back. Take your time and be gentle. If it doesn't come off easily then you most likely missed a tab. Good luck.

:)I installed the LED arrows when I installed the LED mirror kit. No need to polish out the inside of the mirrors. The LED arrow shows up fine day or night.

Hi Guys, I am new to the forum. Just joined actually. I have a Prius C 2013 Four. I have a small problem with the side mirrors. They tend to fold halfway sometimes when i lock the car. This happen more often when the car is used in Direct Sunlight (basically when its hot). My concerns are:

Is there a way to disable the auto folding mechanism? So that I can fold them when ever I need, not automatically...
How to you lubricate the motor mechanism if required to by opening the mirror and what sort of fluid required?
Any way that I can fix this by opening and what could possibly be the cause of the problem?

Well I already ordered mine, waiting to do the modification.

Cant post the link as I am new to the forum: Search following on ebay:

2 Amber 33-SMD Sequential LED Arrows Panel for Car Side Mirror Turn Signal Light

They seems nice, but getting the mirror assembly in to parts is kind of hard i think. I am at risk of Rs 35,000/- a piece (1 USD is RS145 in Sri Lanka). Even a re conditioned part is damn expensive in this part of the world.:(

Fingers crossed, will let you know how it goes.

Anyone tried lubricating the retracting mirror hinge? My one stops halfway sometimes hope if i grease the hinges it will sort the issue, I want to fix this. And also need a solution to disable the auto folding mechanism when the car is locked with key. I wont mind folding with the on board switch on the dash.

EDIT: Gave the mirror a strong tug and it came out and was able to replace it. Dealership quoted me $120 in labor. Part was $36 (dealership sold it to me for $25). Thanks again!
