Does Emergency Brake use the standard rear disc brakes?

    For this reason, don't think of the brake as an "emergency brake"; it will not do much if the real brakes fail. It's just a parking brake; something to keep from slipping downhill when you park.

    For this reason THINK of it as an EMERGENCY BRAKE.

    It can save your life someday.

    There are Prii having brake failures.

    Practice it once from low speed. If it is a reflex, it could save the day....
