Nissan says it's going to be ready for LeMans next year.

That's an amazing car. If racing is going electric, I might start watching it again.

Can you imagine ? . . . . no noise . . . no smell and no lung ache from inhaling ultra high octane fuel - as you get at the drag strip. Whoah. Hard to equate that with racing.
I was just watching EV motocross . . . dejavu:

What's the world coming to ?!?
    :p

Yep . . . KTM is REALLY showing some metal when it comes to moto EV's ... I don't wana steal the Nissan show - but man . . . EV's are really moving along:

It'll be nice if they go into more detail about how they're going to keep it going for 24 hours. I would imagine it has to be some sort of fast battery change.

PluginCars says it is a hybrid electric. Not pure EV. How they plan to put the two together is still in the works without any details.

I watched the video again and they still refer to the racer as an EV.

Ok, I found this video and the car has a fuel filler, so it's a hybrid. EZOD, emissions zero on demand.

Ah, so that's what they mean by Zeod. Zero emissions when the gas engine's not running. Hmmm.

I'm at least somewhat supportive of hybrid racing. I think electric would be even better, but there's still a ridiculous amount of emissions involved with travelling the world just to drive around in circles. ;)

But, you have to figure that the cars are under extreme conditions racing, so if they can make them cleaner at these conditions, they can pass the knowledge on to the cars on the streets.

I agree, racing improves the breed. But with that last comment, I was thinking more of the flights and ground transportation necessary to field a team at various locations around the world. Not just the racing car itself, while testing and racing.
