National Plug In Day, Central NY

So I'm responsible for organizing the Central New York version of the National Plug In Day, and while I'm still trying to figure out the final location, it's definitely going to be in the Syracuse, NY area.

I'm trying to figure out how many folks will show up with their cars, so I would like to invite everyone who has time during the September 28-29th 2013 weekend (will probably go with Saturday the 28th tho) to register on the National Plug In Day website, or post in this forum thread, so I can keep a space for you available.

I don't care where you live, as long as you are willing to drive to this location, you are very welcome!

Note: I'm posting the thread in the Prius Plug-in forum, as this is where most of the EV guys hang out.

 

Have to start somewhere, I have big plans for the state of NY. In fact, I'm trying to team up with other EV groups in NY, trying to get everyone to make people aware of the 'ChargeNY' brand, so it will be easier to talk to local and state government, businesses, etc since we will have a bigger voice.

 

No response? I see so many PiP's in my area, find it hard to believe none are on the forums

 

We have people coming all the way from Buffalo, so I'd love for you to join, either show off your car, or attend. I do appreciate passing the word!

 

Of course, that's the plan, showing EVs off to folks who are curious about the tech, or EV owners who just want to compare.

I would expect existing Prius owners to be interested, just so they can compare the plug-in vs the regular model. Toyota already committed to showing up with a demo PiP, so you can take it for a spin as well!

Right now, I'm focusing on getting the EV owners together first, to help with planning, but besides wanting everyone to visit, no matter what they drive, I'd love to accept help/suggestions/tips from anyone!

 

Alright, location is final, it will be inside the really beautiful atrium. I have posted more information, and pictures of the location here.

We need more PiPs representing Plus, I will also have a PiP demo car ready for test drives, so it's a great time to stop by if you are on the fence about buying this car.

 

All mentioned in the links above, but it's inside the Drivers Village conference area, 9AM-4PM, free entrance, and there is a really nice cafeteria if you want food/drink.

Yea there are 2 sites. ChargeNY (my site) is my effort to help EVs grow in the state of NY, and I'm using ChargeNY resources to help organize this event, so I really would like to get more NY folks to join the community.

PlugInDay.org are the guys promoting the National Plug In Day event, so I ask people to register there if they will be showing off their car, since their site has been around for a while.

Apologies for the confusion, it will hopefully be easier next time, since I'm organizing more events next year (and maybe an EV cruise before snow season starts here in CNY).
