I purchased a used 2010 Prius II last month and as you can see I've logged almost 2000 miles so far, and I'm getting a hair above 60 MPG. Not too shabby. I was avg. 25 MPG combined in my old Kia Optima. I'm pretty stoked!

    Very good!

Keep in mind though that the computer routinely calculates the MPG high. Can be anywhere from 2-5mpg high based on other threads I've seen here.

    Hi all,

Thanks for the encouragement :) . I have some inclines, but I try to offset that by making sure I return the same way to get the decline. I pulse and glide and try and engage the battery as much as possible and try to not go past center and engage the ICE too much. I use "N" as much as I can and on steeper declines I use "B"

I admit that I think I sometimes look at the speedometer more than the road. o_O

Silly question, so why use neutral instead of ws?

Switching between "N", "D", and "B" for speed control is simple and taught in one sentence.
