    I disagree
    [IMG]

The Venturi Atlantique was a pretty sweet car, produced from 1991 to 2000 I think.

And then you have the Bugatti type 57:

IMHO one of the most beautiful cars ever conceived.

At the lower end of the market, I've always loved the Citroen Traction Avant.

    And Renault Alpines were cool.

But these days, most Renaults (with the exception of the sporty Meganes and Clios) are very dull; Peugeots are phenomenally boring and unreliable, and Citroens just fall apart in a light breeze.

Beautiful car indeed. If only it were electric! Produced from 1934 to 1940, according to Wikipedia. Hardly relevant to the discussion of French cars today. But I don't have any respect for American car companies either, except of course Tesla.

Yuck! Milk in everything. They do make good cheese, which is the only way milk is edible other than putting chocolate in it. French cuisine is IMHO the most unappetizing of all the major world cuisines. Even Italian food is better than French.

I think the last time one changed hands at auction it was in the millions of dollars.

I'm more into the more basic food that's not full of milk. China's the same as France in this regard: it's the cheap, peasanty food that's great, and the expensive posh stuff is overrated.

Anyway, from your avatar, it would appear that you're a cat. Surely you must love milk?

My cat loved milk, and I love cats. But I hate milk and always have, unless it's chocolate. But I gave him milk. He was the best cat. The picture in my avatar is not my cat. I have no pictures of him because he died before digital cameras and photographic emulsion comes from the slaughterhouse. The cat in the avatar belonged to a friend in Spain. But my cat looked just like that.

BTW, my avatar was the VERY FIRST cat picture EVER used as an avatar on Prius Chat. I believe "chat" is "cat" in French. When I was in prison I put pictures of cats on the walls of my cell. I suspect I might have been the only prisoner there to have cat pictures on the walls. Pin-up pictures of girls just seemed too depressing when you're locked up.

One summer I worked at a French Restaurant during college. Great food just be careful you may get the cow brains or frog legs. Snails cooked in butter and garlic is very good but an acquired taste. A good old steak with a sauce cannot be beat and my favorite French onion soup

Sorry to hear about your cat. I had two lovely ones as a kid - one of them lived to 21

And your friend's cat is cool. Cat pictures would have really brightened up a cell, and made it look a lot less like a cell.

I love snails, and I hate brains (to eat, anyway). Frogs' legs are nice if they're cooked properly too - you get them a lot in China as well as in France.

I love French onion soup, but my wife is never thrilled when I've had it and then get into bed. Who'd have thought that French food could lead so easily to Dutch ovens?

Funny we should have been discussing old Citroens. I've just been to the bank, and this was parked outside.

They were sooo cool. And you could get one with a Maserati engine.

French build quality and Italian electronics - what could possibly go wrong? It's like Chuck's map of Europe.

Are you saying my car is not a "real" car???

    IMG_2874.JPG
Well, it still looked like a cell. But at least it was a cell with cat pictures. ;)

My Zap Xebra went 35 mph with a range of 40 miles (with aftermarket batteries) and was a 4-seater. The Twizy in the picture looks like it has only one seat.
