Nice low price! Will you share whether or not you got 0% financing too?

Thanks! I did try Tustin and they are only within $200 of the other dealer (who will match Tustin). Feel like I should challenge it more but seems like $30,750 may be the bottom line! Time to decide.

I bought Blizzard Pearl 2013 Persona, VIP (PIO), illuminated sill (PIO), floor mats and cargo for 27,900 before TTL. Last one on dealer lot at Putman Toyota. It was take or leave deal. Capitol Toyota has one 29,900 with real leather seat for $2,000 more, floor mats and cargo. I almost miss the 0% financing by a few days.

No 0%. Dealers in GA won't honor it. They add 1700-2500 to price. My credit score is almost 800 so I got a super low interest rate.

At a Toyota dealer in Portland and just purchased a 2013 Prius Five with ATP. MSRP is $35,345 and got it for $31,200 and taking the 0% for 36 months. End of the month really worked in my favor.

Sorry if this is the wrong thread, but when is typically the best deal I can get on a closeout 2013 Prius 2?

I'm in the SF Bay Area and a local dealer has been running the same price for a Prius 2 (base I'm assuming) in the newspaper for about 2 weeks now, which is $21,088 before any fees (essentially any color except for Blizzard Pearl). I feel this is a good deal, but I'm not sure if I should act now.

I saw on another post in this thread that another dealer in the US is running a deal for $20,977. I know ~$100 isn't much in this magnitude, but perhaps I can talk down the dealer a bit.

In regard to timing, now might be good. I have heard that some dealerships like to make certain sales quotas by the end of any given month, so they might be willing to let some of them go for less than they typically would.

or contact your local AAA buying service. They call all over the country looking for the best price on the car you tell them you want. Paperwork is minimal when you go to actually buy. Never have to step foot into a dealership.

End of the month is going to be in your favor. Dealers will fight for your business since they need to meet quota. Usually it is from a high volume dealer. That is where I got the best deal. Other dealers were not able to come close.

Really happy with my final deal at Tustin Toyota. Prius Four w/Solar Package $30,250 plus taxes, tags. MSRP was $33,685. 0% financing, too! End of month, end of quarter.. good time to buy. :)

We just bought a 2013 Prius 3 for my mom last night. Bought from a local dealer in North Los Angeles. We got 23,250 after some going back and forth for about 25 mins. I had been shopping around and gone to about 5 different dealers in L.A. in the last few weeks. I started hearing and being told that end of month AND end of quarter is why the prices are going to be more negotiable.

When I first walked in, and told them that other dealers were offering me 23,800 and that another dealer said they would beat any offer by a few hundred, they laughed at us and thought we were bluffing. Once I started telling them exactly which dealers I went to and their respective sales managers names and head sales man, they started taking us (my dad and I) seriously. I told them, I know it's the last day of the month and quarter and I don't want any bull and not to waste our time or theirs. I told them that's the number, if they can make it happen, then we'll buy it assuming they have our color.

He started showing us a few cars on the lot then. Once we picked the silver with grey int. we got the paper work rolling. Of course once that came out, there was a $300 doc fee and a ridiculous $500 alarm fee. I told them, this was the exactly the thing that was going to mess up this quick and easy deal. He said it comes with the car and they can't do anything. Told them, either find me another one or take it out. He went back into that magical room where things just happen to work out instantly when you want them to and came back saying "ok, we'll take the alarm out and get you $70 doc fee" Throughout the whole signing of papers and finalizing, they kept saying that the alarm has been deactivated and you need the chip. Right before we got the keys, he said you actually need this chip to activate the car and they went to install it and get us the manual.

I just wanted to share my experience and seriously thank this forum so much! Because of you guys, I was able to feel comfortable with my decision and know what prices to expect. I started reading somewhere that the Prius 3 automatically comes with an alarm system and the only option is to get the window breakage sensor. But essentially knowing that I got a good deal and wasn't completely ripped off of my hard earned money, made me come back here and share my experience. I know we may have been able to even come down a little bit here and there and possibly get some extras thrown in but I was kind of done dealing with the sales team at that point because they didn't respect me.

I was able to hassle with them and not be persuaded into buying any extras as we're in the automotive industry so we know a good amount about cars. We walked away with 23,250 before taxes and fees for the car and no extra options whatsoever! Total with CA taxes was approx. 25.3K. I hope everyone is able to get the best price possible, you'll feel better and know you did the best you could.

Also, if anyone knows anything about the alarm system and what and where they could have put that little black "jumper" looking thing. It looked like a hard drive jumper plastic piece. I'm almost positive they are bluffing but any insight would be great!

Again, Thanks PriusChat and the awesome members on here!

This is in Bay area, CA. For a Prius 3 with no options other than Carpet floor mat and cargo mat, the price was 24742. After applying CA taxes, lic and registration fees and deducting $1000 rebate, OTD was 26291. Is this a good deal or did I pay a bit too much ?

It's my understanding that some areas have the $1000 rebate in lieu of the 0% financing offer??

I'm glad I found this site! I'm just now looking into buying a Prius 2 or 3 in the socal area before the 0% finance ends next month. I actually live near Tustin, so I'm glad to hear that people are having a good experience there. It seems to me that the 3 features a lot of extra options (nav, backup camera, 3-door keyless, entune) for a pretty minimal $1000 more? Does anyone have any advice for a first time buyer about what to watch out for as I negotiate?
