Hey guys, i'm looking to purchase these

18x9.5 +34 - Someone on the forum, I forget who, has this exact wheel setup and I've asked about rubbing, but never got a reply. Atleast they seem to fit. Should I go for a different fitment?

Anyone know how this would set up with probably a 215/40/18 stretch setup or a 225/35/18 setup? Probably going to be lowered on coils. Hopefully get this done by the end of the month.

Anyone have a better setup for a stretched tire look (without being too extreme)

Also anyone think 9.5 is too wide?

:)Yup, I do. Buy a set that will fit, versus a set you make fit. Wheel offset is always a hassle. I couldn't live with the factory 15" wheels on my Prius. I like the Prius 5, 17" wheel. I like the look and it fits without question. That's what I went with. Plus, my Prius still functions like a hybrid.

Not only does it have to clear your brakes, but all suspension components, and lastly your fenders.

You mention you want to drop in some coilovers, the wide wheels may not clear the fenders. Unless you are comfortable with pulling or rolling your fenders/wheel wells to gain some clearance, I'd avoid wide wheels.

Rears will be fine. Fronts will rub and need a slight pull to fix that. I ran 18x9.5 +38F and +33 rear on 225/40s and rears are no problem. Fronts rub on big bumps. Even my current setup rubs slightly on bigger bumps but only on the liners. With a 215, you can get away with the more aggressive offset.

From what I gathered, there isn't much rolling you can do to the front fender. You just need to have them pulled. The front fender lips are folded up pretty well from the factory from what I could feel.

    that is correct.....

I had my fronts rolled/pulled and I installed camber bolts.....

on the rear... I had it grinded instead of rolling it.....

since you're in socal, know any professional shops that can help pull the front fender? or should i just roll up my sleeves and do it myself.

+1 I would not pull or roll a fender if you haven't done it before. It would be very easy to deform the fender and make it look lumpy without proper technique/experience/tools.
