My driver's side seat belt has a twist in it making hook up awkward. Is this a unique thing or common to all Prius's?

My sister-in-law always twists the belt then pulls it tight and then I need to fix it. Since it's then "backwards". I fix it by folding over the belt and pulling the latching metal tang thru the fold. I then yell at the wife to control her Amazon sister.

Perhaps I need to take a picture. But I will try words first:
    1. sit in the seat
    2. hold the belt in both hands with the latch to your left
    3. twist/fold the belt over at a 45 degree angle just to the right of the latch
    4. pull the latching piece through the fold
    5. once you have pulled it through the latch will have reversed its direction

I tried your solution and all I did is make a heck of a knot in the belt. Tried 3 times, same result each time. maybe a video is in order?

The slot you -are suggesting running the doubled over belt through, is entirely too narrow to accept 2 thicknesses of belt. One ok, 2, never!!

Nobody said it would be easy, but yes, it WILL go. This is why the video suggested pulling the belt as far out as it would go...so you have some leverage when you fold the belt over and pull the clip down.
