Need to mention that the numbers I posted were dated, and didn't include the August numbers.
My numbers do take into account that the PPI is not nationwide. Toyota stated that the states it is available in represent 60% of all Prius sales. So the 7% came from Prius sales*0.6 for the comparison.

I posted just september numbers, which reflect toyota getting its discounting strategy in order if we say 60% then the numbers change to
5420 prius liftbacks in the 60% volume sales territory the phv sells in September
    1152 prius phvs
6572 prius liftbacks and phvs sold in the terroritory toyota sells phv's in september
    17.5% take rate

Toyota can definitely improve in the next generation phv.

Yep, 2009 has both the Gen2 and 3 in my country, I have the Gen 2 (10k€ secondhand whereas a few month younger Gen3 would have been >15k€, easy choice)

It took me a few months to find out I don't have the bladder fueltank because I was reading too much on here :ROFLMAO:
I don't know if I have the thermos but I doubt it. I did do the simple radiator-blocking mod, but the fuelconsumption only got worse after that... (Not saying that is what caused it, I also changed the tires and the standard trip of 35km disappeared. But now I have a new daily 35km trip, the MPG's still don't recover to the level of last year, about 8% off...)

I thought the fuel bladder was the only thing that was different about the North American version. It should be easy to determine if there is no thermos. When you turn off the car, get out and listen the driver side of the hood. The whirring of the pump will be noticable.
