    1 US Gal. =3.785 liters; 40 km/L x 3.785 = 151.4 km /1.6 = 94 mpg, or about 55 mpg US?
    What's wrong here?

Yes. I think I could become accustomed to having that look in by garage. I especially like the rear view. Notice the rounded roof in the "masked spy pictures" is replicated in the above pictures/renderings. I think this just might be the G4.

Sorry Moderator ..... I'm still betting the G4 will be a 2015 (model year) introduced in calendar year 2014.... additionally, I'm still feeling it may be earlier in 2014 than later. My rationale is ..... I predict the model year 2014 will not be a received by the buying public with much enthusiasm.

It will be fun to see which of all the guesses is right.

I am hoping you're right, my lease will end in December 2014, :) well I can extend it for a few months thereafter.
Sometimes, they build more than one prototypes, this may be one of them, but I like what I see.

It was reported that next Gen Prius will have a retracted A pillar, and this one is as forward as current Gen.

What's interesting? Little bigger, little lighter, better mileage. Isn't that what everyone was expecting? There's almost no new information to get excited about.

Understand, we could all be way off base.

But truthfully, the depiction is about what I expect. I base that on the difference between the G2 and the G3. Updated, perfected, but still the Prius Icon. Incidentally, that icon has worked well for Toyota. Everyone recognized that now familiar shape. I don't see Toyota veering far from what has been a success.

On the other hand ..... (and I make no pretense of knowing what I am talking about) I wonder with a shape so reminiscent of the past, if there could be much in the way of improved aerodynamics????

The front end is slightly different from the other European models. The RAV4 and Auris have small 3-bulb LED DRLs whereas this one has a diagonal LED DRL signature (similar to that of the Gen 1.5 Venza). If the rear design is true, we're finally going to LED indicators. The rear window looks interesting. It's almost like Toyota is experimenting with buttresses.

Beats the hell out of a discussion of gas tank size and Toyo Proxies.

It will be lighter (possibly lighter body shell in addition to a lighter THS?). The post that Mark (Paradox) had listed 1,330kg. That's 50kg (110lbs) lighter.

99 HP? I was hoping for a little more, new Lexus hybrids are getting 30% more power per displacement.

    Hello Everybody,

It's nice to see, that 10 years later, some people that was writing on Priuschat are still there.
May be someone will remember me ... I was the someone that did the first simulation with the Wayne Braun software, the color table with detailed informations about the Prius 2 fuel consumption.

Today I am the "someone" that brought to Priuschat the Thai website link wit the Prius 4 pictures.

Nice to be back on Priuschat :)
Best regards from Switzerland to all of you,

    Didier

    Hello Ken @japan,

It will be nice if you would find some time to translate the text present on the 4 pictures published on the Thai website.

    Kind regards,

    Didier
