Installed 55w 4300k HID bulbs...finally happy with my Prius headlights

    6000k is not street legal in the US either..... just saying....

    Good to know, never thought about that. I have seen some thast are bright and blue that just blind me.

    Well, it's one of those things you won't get pulled over for... but a stickler cop may write you up for the additional violation if he's already got you for something else...

    Technically no aftermarket HID kit is street legal. If they didn't come stock, they aren't legal.
    Of course, the bluer the bulbs, the more obvious it is that they're aftermarket.

    Odds are, you'll never have a problem (I've run 6000K for seven years now without any issue at all) but if a cop knows his stuff, he would know that, unless you have the LED headlights, your only option is halogen... again, it's a stretch, but weirder things have happened.
