Has anyone heard of anything like this? I took it in for maintenance, and now the electric motor seems to be weaker than before. On roads where before I could drive along with the rest of the traffic without engaging the ICE, I now seem to need to need to hit the gas motor to keep up with traffic.

Were there any recent software updates that they might have installed or possible things that could have been messed up during the minor maintenance?

I just keep watching avg MPG roll off my odometer and I'm getting frustrated. I'm down to 41 mpg and it keeps dropping.

Did they let the air out of your tires? I always air mine up to 40+ after getting the car back from the dealer.

They tend to adjust the tire air to door placard. Like Dan says Get air gauge and pump them back up to 42-40 and you'll get your mileage back.

No, air pressure is solid. The whole car just feels like it is struggling to drive through mud.

As much as I like to bag on the dealers, if all they did was routine maintenance (not repair) then this isn't on them.

This smells like Old Man Winter....
    Sorry.

I live in Los Angeles, it's 70F out right now. Same as it was the rest of the year when it didn't feel like my car was driving through mud...

you would have to jack it up and spin them by hand. sometimes they adjust the emergency brake too tight. have you brought it back to them? how does it roll on a hill when you put it in neutral? how much have your mpg's dropped? check your oil level. there is a sticky on top of one of the forums by cwerdna about mpg's dropping and a good questionaire to help resolve it. all the best!(y)

This is why one should put location in the profile.

Hmmm, I checked though there and saw that apparently a low battery could be it. The battery in my car was under 12V, maybe that is part of the problem...

well that would affect your mpg's, not sure about power tho. maybe because the hybrid battery is wasting energy charging the 12v. perhaps the dealer ran down the 12v and damaged it.
