    Hi xliderider!

. Thanks! The bulbs are clear/glass, and the lenses are yellow glass. I forgot to mention I installed the Fiamm horns, and that one of the LED bulbs fell into the headlight again. I got it with a magnetic reach tool through the high-beam light socket. Be sure to pinch those connectors!

I also installed the yellow fog lights with clear bulbs on my 2012. On the hind side, I wish I had done it with clear lens and yellow bulbs. They still look nice though!

It is a small flip-up tray inside the center console. 3rd generation 2010 and 2011 had them but somehow it was eliminated from 2012 and newer.

2010 or 2011 tray will fit 2012 (and I am assuming 2013). Just visit a friend who has an earlier 3rd generation and "borrow" the tray... I did... :)

Anyone looking to sell their non-fog light grill in excellent condition (non-PIP)? Please PM me (shipped 95391, Bay Area, CA). I am looking to spend about $50 shipped which could help someone buy the fog light version which is around $105 shipped.

Another local member offered to meet about half an hour away so I could check it out, but if someone wants to save me a trip, I can send them $50 for their nice looking one taking up space in the garage. :)

Need help with my wire harness. My harness seems to have extra wires and doesn't seem to fall in line with the diagrams I've been seeing. It also comes with a relay. Should I modify my harness?

The relay is for switching the high current load which is the lights. If the plugs match up with your harness, use it.

    Mike,

Thanks for the reply. There are two wires that I'm assuming I need to splice into the cars wire harness (indicated in red). One wire should be spliced into the Brown wire from the car's wire harness. My question is what other wire would i need to splice into. Whats also weird is there is no ground wire. The ground wire from the green switch goes into the relay. I'm a real newb so my apologies for the many questions. I'm just worried about splicing into my cars wire harness.

The switch will turn the relay on & off. The relay will apply a high current potential 12v to the lights. The ground wire to the lights should be separate. The relay will need 12v from the switch and ground to function. So think of the relay as this, a switch applies a low current potential 12v to the relay coil. The other side of the relay coil goes to ground. The relay contacts are a mechanical part inside the relay that only switch a high current potential 12v that comes in on separate wires than the switch wires came in on. Might still be confusing so I hope I didn't really cause a mass confusion :confused:Is this supposed to be a plug n play kit? I would be very wary of cutting the factory harness. When you do have to cut a factory harness, I highly recommend soldering wires with 60/40 rosin core solder, NOT water soluble flux, and using heatshrink. Adhesive heatshrink is even better as it is waterproof as long as the installer uses the right diameter heatshrink so it closes down 100% around the wire/cable insulation. Where did you get this harness/kit? Did it come with a wire diagram or a note saying good luck [IMG]

I got this on ebay. Kit came with grille, harness, switch and lights. This should be plug and play. Contacted seller (Daytona Toyota) for instructions. Waiting for a response.

I understand the jist of what ur saying. It sounds like I'd be better off modifying my harness to match what I found on the internet.

Hold off on modifying anything. The dealer will get back to you after the Holiday and you will be good to go. It is supposed to be plug n play so I am sure it will be. Just some technical details of where to plug what. How much total cost do you have in this kit? Might be sumthin to do on my car next season.
