No doubt. I used to own a Gixer. Crazy times back then. Never would do it again.

Top speed of my prius before I shut it down was 108.
Btw before doing any high speed test make sure the hwy is clear, have at least 2 mile straight away with no traffic, no to little wind and a friendly officer that will clock you at end with at least a 1/2 mile of straight road to safely slow down . I have done many "let's see" passes in many cars. My scariest was in my built 454 astro van, topped at 142. Never again in that box. My fastest speed was 312 in a group(like a big group hug) head down skydive from 14k. That was fun.

Late for work does not give you the right to put others in danger. You are a fool for going that fast. There is a good chance that a tire could blow and you could of easily went across the road and killed a family. Get a clue.

Good you bet me too the point, there is a reason for posted speed limits. Only do high speed testing when nobody else is at harm. 1 slight movement from a passenger in rear and you all 6 foot under.

Trust me, I was lucky when I was young and stupid. I was able pull out of spend at 80 ish by luck. There is no skill with weight being thrown around.

Neah. We were speeding cose we were running......... It was really hard to keep the car straight while the 2 passengers in the back were outside the windows one throwing the drugs and the other one shooting at the police cars behind...

    Just kidding :)))
We were alone on the german highway autobahn ......
We went from 130 to 190 just to see if the car was able to do that. Once 190 , returned immediatly to 130 ....
    All lasted 1 minute...

My bad. I am in the USA and do not think of other countries. But here people do drive stupid and think it only effects them. The guy from Fast and Furious burned up in a car the other day. It was stated that they were going between 40 and 45 mph. Speen kills but so does a big light pole.

If one must crash and burn, better to do it with a Tesla than a Porsche.

PSL in the area is 45 mph. Estimated speed at the time of the crash was in excess of 100 mph. Quite a difference.

I would also be shocked that 265-width and 335-width exotic-car-purpose-built summer tires (read: soft-with-a-capital-S) would do anything other than come to an almost-immediate dead stop from a transient loss-of-control situation at 45mph. They were certainly going much faster than 45mph.

I have seen 119 a couple times. Felt good. Yes I have a rated tire for it.

I've never taken my gen 2 over 80mph130kmh. It's not why I bought the car. I'm all about mpg now!

    My previous feats were in 2 different VW Bora's (Jetta 4). 145 mph in a PD130 TDi and just short of 150mph in a V6 4motion .

And just to clarify, I was alone both times. In the TDI it was on a long empty 3 lane motorway Somewhere in France and in the V6 it was also a motorway in northern Wales, again not a sinner on the road

My car once registered 114 but that was downhill I've hit the limiter at 111 on level ground. (Gen 2 back when it was more stock). Compared to the sienna my family used to have a prius is much stabler, not saying much though...

In Massachusetts we drive 95 on 95 all day haha. My moms old 2001 (now my sisters car) shakes and sputters if you go over about 76 MPH so I don't. I think it's because mom never drove it that fast in the 160k she owned it.

For those like me that didn't know, this is approximately 120 mph.

When I searched for 190 km/h this is the first link I clicked on:

seen the north side of 150 on a couple stock motorcycles, as well as a slightly modded up 94 impala ss.
    all on a track.

seen 120 in a pontiac fiero back in the late 80's in the middle of nowhere florida on back roads.

the lane markers go by very fast at those speeds...

I doubt my prius will ever see triple digit speeds unless I have it set in the metric(kph) setting
