    Thank you so much for you prompt response and assistance. I purchased the Otto Navi unit over the Advent, Rosen, etc because of the wealth of information, installation and customization tips from this forum. Very pleased with the unit so far and I look forward to uploading some skins that have been posted from you and Clayfree to my unit. Kudos to the both of you for your collaboration and contributions to the forum. It really helps everyone in their decision making and saving time & money. If I make any additional skins, I will certainly post or let the group know.

    Hi all,

    first post here, and a total nubie with the Roadrover unit - so p[lease go easy on me.
    I have my first Roadrover unit installed in my Holden Spark (Chevy Spark), the C7075.

    All I'm really interested in doing is changing the skin and background. Getting into the System information screen provides scant detail.

    OS: EN-PRIMA-128-V1.59
    MCU: 4.34CS-7HRH6T-

    That's all I see. I've managed to get into the WinCE desktop, but I can't see how I can get detailed system information to ascertain if my units skins can indeed be changed. I've read Bulle's notes on the first page of this thread (which is in itself a fantastic resource) but can't seem to find any info on getting to MCU/OS/IU information.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello Dave,

    you need to find out if you have an I9 version.

    It's odd that your unit does not report the UI version...
    May be you have an older UI version. (although your OS version looks recent)

    So go to the WinCE desktop again and run the FileExplorer ("My Device") and check to see if you have a folder that looks like this:
    \StaticStore\I9\Skins

    If you have the I9 version, anything UI related (skins and tools) should work.

    Yes; sorry. Here we only have the I9.

    But you can try China-RNS NEWSBREAK - China-RNS News Portal (German site); they have tons of infos and skins for D2280, I9, etc.
    May be that will work for you.

    I'm not sure what your question is...

    If your question is about the spectrum display it depends on the hardware you have.
    If your unit does not have the button EQ when adjusting the speakers balance then your unit probably doesn't support it.

    Go to the Audio screen (where you can balance speakers).
    You should see a screen similar to this:

    If the EQ button is not visible it means your hardware doesn't support spectrum.
    If it is visible, you can click on it and you should see a screen like this:

    magnum's English is'nt well, so I'll ask how to reset all icon IDs to zero ?
    Is there any function available in your edit tool ?

    I will try to help but first I'm not sure what you are trying to achieve.
    Resetting all those PIC_ID to zero will make the whole UI using only one picture (#0).

    Is this really what you want?

    Please explain.

    the ID counter is increased with each image by one. but once it has reached 1000 the RRUIEditor reports an error. That's why magnum asked how to reset the counter to the beginning.

    Hello Magnum,

    There are 2 errors apparently:

    1) PicID not ordered properly: this is a *bug* in the RRUIEditor itself .

    I don't think it is really a problem (the skin should work) but I agree with you it is annoying.
    We cannot modify the RRUIEditor (because we don't have the source code from RoadRover) but may be
    we can fix this by reordering the pictures ID in the RRUITool. I will take a look.

    2) ) Maximum number of pics ID in RRUITool: should be easy to fix.
    Again, I will take a look and let you know.

    In the mean time, I would appreciate if you can send me (privately) the .rrui file that's causing problem?
    That will help me for testing.
