I'm waiting for OP to tell what an expert is, how he will know, and most important, how he will understand and objectively judge the answer :)

Of one thing I am reasonably certain though -- someone I would view as an expert is unlikely to be be posting in PC.

I think to some extent Lucas oil stabilizer works, but one thing that no one has every been able to tell me is: What is the difference between adding LOS and just using a heavier grade oil to begin with? (Apart from the added cost of the LOS of course.)

Any followup on this? I wonder if one should credit AutoRx, 5W20, or M1EP.

    No significant changes
I changed the oil at 135,000 with M1EP and am at 138,000 - still consume about 1qt per 4,000miles
I believe my oil consumption rings were stuck and Auto-RX freed them initially and there has been slight improvement since with maintenance doses

    Here is what I believe:
    - Significant oil loss is due to stuck rings
    - Use something to free the rings - Auto-RX, Kreen, Marvel Mystery Oil, Rislone, etc
    - Switch to an oil that will resist ring land fill - ACEA rated synthetic oil
    - Thicker oil will slow oil loss, but will probably not free rings
    - Techron may help free compression rings and possibly oil control rings

Well now 90,000 miles. Changed oil since new and used Synthetic Pensoil 5-30 and Toyota filters. I drive it like I stole it. It uses 1+1/2 quarts every oil change (every 5000 miles). Maybe some Rislone or marvel mystery oil?!?any Ideas?

Here is the log for this OCI
    4qt M1EP 5w20 @135,000
    1qt + AutoRX maintenance dose @138,500
    0.5qt @141,000
    0.5qt @143,000
    0.5qt @146,600
Ready to change oil @150,000 about 0.5qt low

    3qt over 15,000mi = 1qt per 5,000mi
