Should I get a shark fin antenna?

    All I'm seeing is the website is being updated. Do you know for sure that v2 isn't the same as their Mark II antenna that has been out for several years (the Mark I is incompatible with solar roof)?

    Yeah, I don't think there is some new version or anything but I don't know for sure.

    Just heard back from Arthur at VisualGarage (they reply to emails promptly, unlike PriusChat Shop).

    He said:

    " the Version 2 shark fin is for the Prius that does have sunroof and is the one shown on the website."

    So, there is not a new version or anything.

    He said they hope to ship mine this week. I guess I just have to be patient.

    I think it takes a while because they may wait until there is an order for multiples of the same color before making them or something.

    Makes sense. It'd be a V3 if a new version were actually in the works.

    I know one thing.

    They got my "blizzard pearl" paint correct. That's one tough color to match.

    So I've had the shark fin antenna on for about a month and notice the adhesive is coming undone at the front part. What should I do? Is there some adhesive I can buy to swab under there? If so, what is best?

    Should I worry about moisture getting in there? I've seen some others pictures and some have the front slightly forward of the roof lip so it's actually open a bit.

    if the adhesive is now exposed I'd be more worried of the rest of the tape eventually following suit. It should be completely reseated with new adhesive imho. was the roof and paint cleaned properly when you applied the fin?

    Yes, it was. I think the adhesive was slightly defective in that area or something.
