Was talking to a cab company running over a hundred Prius

    they like the gas mileage

Biggest problem running a hundred plus Prius in LA is the skirt front bumper is so low to the ground (for better aerodynamics) ... less than 5 inches ground clearance when loaded ... it hits the ground and bows the side moldings of the bumper.

Was told it is very common if you try to go thru heavy snow you buckle the skirt.

Is there fix or is this a rare problem ?

I approach aprons at a 45 deg entry angle whenever possible rather than the standard 90 deg angle with higher cars.
That seems to work in most cases....

Yes, I've scraped it several times- now using the 45 deg entry method it hardly ever scrapes...

when i pull up to parking curbs, i don't go all the way. you can never tell whether it will scrape or not. haven't had any issue with snow and i don't load the car down that much.

Mine is actually a bit higher than my 2000 Chrysler Sebring convertible, which hits parking lot front cement blocks and curbs parked up to. My PiP seems to be a little above most of these, but I never know if the 'next ' one will bee too high, so I try to not get too close to 'kiss' the curb/ block in front when parking.
