Anyone ever tinted their headlight lens?

    Just be aware that the compound curve of the tail light makes wrapping them a real pita.
    Unless you're a pro at vinyl wrapping, I'd just pay to have someone else do it.

    It's the bright chrome that is a bit too bright. Prius has way more chrome back there than almost any other car these days.

    Yes, I could replace the entire tail light assemblies with some aftermarket ones, but I like the stock ones aside from all that chrome.

    Especially on the black car. They're so garish.
    I like my crystal eye smoked tails, but the electronics inside seem a touch flaky... I might attempt a lens swap to put the crystal eye lens on the stock tail.

    Yeah, and I'm not going super dark on them, just a medium smoke.

    My only complaint after that will be that here in California, the license plate is white. Looks really bright on a Black car.

    Upgrade to Valenti. Much better reliability than Crystal Eye or Revier.

    That's why I upgraded to the blue whale tail license plates even though I don't really care about the cause (actually I do after watching Blackfish).

    I actually really like the hockey sticks shape of my stock tail lights and want to keep that.

    Do you have any pics of your car with the whale tail license plate? I'd like to see.

    The only black plate in Illinois is a White Sox plate, and as a Cubs fan, that won't fly.

    Delaware has the coolest throwback plate.

    Headlights, no. But if you do decide to that do not film as it can cause streaking.

    A safer modification would be to open the headlights, pull the plastic chrome out and paint it black. Gaining a similar effect.
