looking into lowering springs for my 2013 prius and need some advice. I'm thinking of lowering it about 2 inches and I do not want the ride to be stiff and bumpy. Which brands do you guys recommend?

if you're thinking 2 inches i think only coil overs will give you that kind of drop. Tein springs offer the lowest drop that I know of which is what I have at about 1.5 most of the other brands are 1-1.3. More options may have come available since I purchased though.

edit: I think the Htechs are the same at about 1.2

I have H&R's on mine. The front is a around 1.5inches while the rear is like 1.4 or something. I like the raked look. Ride quality is nice and stiff.

I have H&R's because I preferred the aggressive look it gives. If you can afford coils, go that route though.

I just finished H&R's and a set of 17" wheels. Ride suffered more than I would have guessed. Would love to ride in a a car with Eibachs to see if it rides better. I put Eibachs on my 11 CTSV and you couldn't tell a difference in ride.

I've got Tanabe in mine, it's a bit stiffer but not too bad.

I have the TRD Prius Plus springs and would not consid anything lower. I already scrape like all the time! I believe these lower it 1.25" or so.

In fact, just yesterday I realized I cannot even drive up my Dad's driveway and have to park on the street when I go visit him.

I am considering lowering my Prius but don't know the first thing about the stock dampeners on this car. If I were to go with TRD springs, would the stock dampeners be alright for awhile? This car is a daily driver and I commute some miles. :)

I do believe they are designed to use the stock shocks.

Thanks for your input. Seems like the TRD springs would be ideal for me - keep my warranty, doesn't slam it, and rides well. I drive on the highway to and from work and need something that isn't going to totally ruin the ride.

I don't think another brand would void your warranty, but not sure.

I think you're right but better safe than sorry. TRD seems to make some nice, quality springs.

That coupled with their swaybar seems to be a nice choice.

I did a long highway commute on Eibachs with the stock dampers. I was on the fence for a long time between TRD and Eibach, all the specs seemed so close but Eibach won out on price and a discount I had with Tire Rack. I find now after a year and a half and 25k more miles, that the ride is still nice, not stiff at all.

Here's a link to check out if you haven't. There's a ton of stuff on the forum if you search; pics, opinions, etc. It a boils down to what you want out of them.

Eibach Lowering Springs, who's got them? | PriusChat

I like the Eibachs. I rode in a friend's Corolla with Tien but I thought that the car bounced a bit. Many say TRD and Eibach are really close in height and ride. The performance plus package has the TRD ones with stock dampers. You could test drive one and see what you think.
I was torn by price. If TRD were cheaper I would've gotten them instead.
