My Prius last week. I think it's even more aerodynamic like this :)

Started fine at -16'F (-27'C), but I noticed when leaving work (about the same temp) the brake pedal didn't go down at all! Like stepping on a rock. After warming up for a few minutes it was moving a bit, so I felt better about driving. The brakes worked fine, just took a while for the pedal to feel normal.

For another snow picture, look at my avatar.

I always think it's cool how the snow goes straight across and then a near-90º angle straight down..

Sand dunes and wind-sculpted snow forms are fairly similar, other than the temperature.

First time driving the Prius in snow. It took 3x longer to get home since the snow even caught the road crews off guard. Much of the time was spent creeping on the battery with the ICE boosting it back to 3 bars from 2.

Nothing with the Prius (I'm giving my mom another 2 tries at the driving test before I take it back), but here's my winter photo featuring my almost 2 year old

Yep. 80 degree highs, lows in the 50's-60's. It to me is considered unusually warm.

    is this like normal?
    snow in florida?

    edit

Due to increased populations and advanced communication networks, snow events are witnessed and reported more frequently in recent years. This should not be interpreted as a pattern of actual occurrence.

Nope. My 2010 still looked great after 3 winters of exposure. 2 winters with the 2012 PHV, it still looks great too. 6 winters with the 2004 did end up showing chips here and there. But the beauty of having an aluminum hood is no rust, just tiny pits.

Geeze... time to take the snow blowers out of mothballs I guess , we were just raking/bagging leaves yesterday.

Guess I'll be ordering the winter tires for the Volt this week....

It's too damn early for snow!
