    Thanks for the info.

BTW, I was once eating in my car in the In 'N Out / Target parking lot across the street and witnessed a guy running out of the emergency exit stealing 2 cases of beer. Classy neighborhood...

The issue with the SF dealers, to me, is getting in and out is a bit of a hassle. They're in high traffic areas and unless you can go out there in the middle of the day it gets quite crazy. I have never gone to the SF Toyota for service but I have gone to the Van Ness Honda for service. Good guys, got the job done and I was out of there when promised. Honda is on the edge of the madness so it wasn't terrible getting to and from - not to mention it's right next to Van Ness station.

    That's quite true about SF.

I was just reading that the Van Ness Honda is up for sale. The family owns both the dealership and the land. They are expecting to get $50 million for the land and are not looking to continue the dealership in another location.

I use to take my Scion to Toyota in SF and they got the job done. They were also one of those service departments which tried to up-sell service items, so it took 10-15 no thank you's before getting basic service. Not as bad as Fremont Toyota, but still a pain.

Growing up in Fremont and my family still living in Fremont...Fremont Toyota Service has had its ups and down over the years - but we'll never, ever purchase a car from them. Generally speaking their service department is middle of the road.

Crazy to hear about the Honda Stealership for sale! Wonder what that place will turn into?!

Apartments or condos. It's zoned for a 35 story building, the largest allowed in that area, but sits on top of the underground bart path so total building size may be limited.

If anyone has more positives on other Bay Area Toyota dealerships (for service), please continue to post.

Saw this website today DealerRater. Interesting but still a lot of Bay Area dealers/service departments with no reviews.

It's a Walmart - might be the highest crime area in Oakland from the stats I see. Don't use the fancy iphone where anyone can see you.

Yeah, depending on how long my Prius is in there, I may actually go shop over there out of boredom.

I've seen that site before but discounted it as mostly employees leaving reviews for themselves. Oftentimes the high reviews there don't at all match what is on Yelp.
