I received a message similar to this when I started my car up this morning. I am paraphrasing because I don't remember the exact wording. I had set the timer to charge from 4am-7am and entered my car at 7am to this message and 0 charge. Did I just plug it in correctly or what does this mean? I've never had an issue until today.

that usually means the connector was attached but disconnected before the charge was completed

you can't set the timer from 4-7, so let'd start the analysis from there. are you using the start timer, or the end timer?

Wouldn't I at least have some charge if this was the case? I had no EV miles to use.

Sorry let me rephrase. I set the start timer at 4am so it would be done by 7am when I need my car.

some people have had problems with the gasket in the bottom of the plug. take a look to see if it has become dislodged.

I've found that if you don't push the connector in far enough to get a "click", it will not signal that it's connected, even though it looks like it is.

I've heard talk of an orange gasket. If you mean this, mine doesn't have one that I can see.

Toyota really should preform a recall on that gasket, it was really annoying this morning

I didn't have time this morning. It is sounding like it was probably user error. I'll try again after work.

you either set your timer to start at 4 a.m. or you set the timer to stop at 7 a.m. You do not set both timers. I think what happened is the car registered to start charge at 7 a.m. And you un-pluged at 7 a.m. So it gave you a message that it did not charge. Just set your start charge button for 4:00 am and you should be good. :)

I had it set to start at 4am.

PPL w/the older (2012) PIP's have been removing the orange O-ring- the handle then clicks into the charge port on the car properly again. It's a annoying issue- but a simple 10 second permanent no-cost fix that you can do yourself.

That's good, and you did not set a stop time? Correct?

I'm betting you just didn't push the plug in all the way and it never made contact in the port.

I thought you can't set both? It said Start Time 4am.
I had previously used stop time 7am but this time I know I selected the 4am start.
