My "Maintenance Required" light on the dash is flashing 4-5-6 times when I start up the Prius every time, and I have no idea why...

I went through all of my Maintenance menu items and most of them arent set to begin with, but the ones that ARE set, still have 4000+ miles til the next service

    Am I missing something here?

Hmmm... As far as I can tell, I have 4000 until the next services. Im going to recheck, maybe I missed one.

OK...just went to the Prius, went through every item in the maintenance menu, and nothing is due for service anytime soon. The oil change/oil filter says "4722 miles REMAINING".

Just for kicks, I reset the oil filter & tire rotation. I checked the air filter, and it still looks new and I have my winter tires on so no rotation needed there.

Still, the MAINT REQD light blinks when I start the car  Anybody?

Dumb da dum dum dumb!!

I forgot do the "ODO-Brake" reset with I changed my oil last. I reset it that way until all the dashes were gone and guess what - no more flashing light.

Funny, because Ive changed the oil on the Prius a few times and I always remembered those times to reset do the odo-brake reset. This past time I totally forgot

I think it's your ODO Brake Reset.
