Can't upload my photos... Getting a Grey Box, with a Red Bar which says:
    "The following error occurred"
Below that, on the grey background:
"There was a problem uploading your file.
    IMG_0575.jpg"

Have I used up my photo upload allocation, perhaps?

Anyway, my pump has both "Toyota" and "Aisin" embossed in the casting, and it has two holes, a large drain hole, bottom side, which has some kind of plug (like a frost plug, with a hole in the middle), pressed into it - that's where the coolant was coming out, evidenced by the crusty pink residue - and a smaller vent hole, top side. The inside of the pump, casting and impeller are beautiful, clean and shiny, no sign of any corrosion, except for where it mated with the gasket, perhaps. The gasket - that seems to be a piece of flat, thinly plastic coated steel, unlike any coolant pump gasket I've encountered before.

Hope that's enough without being able to post the photos.

    Hi FreydNot

Great list, many thanks. (Of course, meant Bluetooth rather than WiFi, earlier - wires shorting for a second...)

I'll start with Bluetooth and see how it goes.

    Cheers,
    Al

Still not able to post those photos, guess I've used up my quote already...?

Anyway, as above, coolant pump replaced yesterday.

    From the Service Sheet:

"Pressure tested engine cooling system, found engine water pump to be leaking. Removed engine components to gain access to pump. Drained engine coolant. Removed and replaced engine water pump. Re-fitted all parts removed. Re-filled engine coolant & bled through cooling system."

    Installed:
    T16100-29157 Pump Assy, Water
    T08889-80071 Super L/Life Coolant

Being a warranty repair, obviously only the bare essentials, no new serpentine belt, but should be ok a while yet. The Coolant Header Tank was filled to the top (the bottom of the filler neck), but hasn't gone down much, so I guess they bled it fairly well.

But is the cabin heater supposed to work if cranked up to 28C in 23C ambient? Doesn't seem to.

How large are your picture files? If very large, can you make them smaller?

I noticed that you had embedded your first two photos in your post #1, rather than attaching them as separate files.

The cabin heater should work. Is it possible that some air remains in the cabin heater core?

Do you hear any gurgling sounds from the dash while driving?

    Hi Patrick,
    Thanks for your reply!

Photos are the same sizes as previously. Anyway, I have deleted some photos off another thread (JDM MFD) to see if this helps.

I embedded them because I found the attached ones a bit tedious to view, but maybe that's the reason for doing it that way...

Thanks guys, I guess there must have been air in the heater circuit somewhere. Is there another electric pump there on the JDM models?
Tanglefoot - No, never heard any gurgling type sounds at all.
But went out of town today and in the cool of the evening tonight, tested it again. It's working now, so must have cleared itself. Thanks again for your help and suggestions.

Another attempt to upload the photos after deleting some from another post last night.

The upload file progress bar still appears, shows the upload progress, but after it completes, still the same error messages... Tried it from two computers, both the same. Must be a problem at the server end.
