The strange thing is not being able to pull any codes when it happened. Those codes should stay in the computer until manually cleared or reset.

Thanks. In the meantime, this PDF from Toyota shows all the lights and warnings that would have come on for THIS recall. Does page 2 look like what you saw, if you remember any of it?

I took a pic. I have all the warning lights in that doc. I am not sure where the Check Hybrid System message is shown. If it is on the LCD screen, I did not take pic of it. I may have missed it.

Yikes, then maybe PiP does need today's recall.
No more racing my PiP on the interstate for the time being

Here's what the Check Hybrid System message looks like

    Capture.JPG

If I recall, there was a long single tone beep and that message appears, then the other lights lit up for me. Later in the day, when this picture was taken, the other lights were gone, except for the CEL triangle and this message on the LCD. In my case though, after removing the ODB2 adapter, the message and lights all went away (and have not returned since).

But hopefully your visit to the dealer will determine if something actually happened or not.

You probably just hit one of those famous 8ft long X 6ft deep NYC pot holes!
    Nothing a good buffing-out won't fix

    About clearing codes...
I had the orange! Master Warn. light and a different Check Hyb. Sys. msg. I was not sure how to clear codes (at that time) with my Torque App, so I plugged in a regular wired OBDII reader. It showed no codes! ??? I did the clear procedure anyway and the Orange Master Warn. light and my Check Hybr Sys. msg went away. That was weird. Since my wired OBDII did not report any codes, I wished I had used Torque in case IT would have. BUt from what I am hearing here, probably not either. I am confused about issues that turn on warning lights but do not register codes!

"I had shifter (2) connectors disconnected when I turned on to ACC to verify my line of site that phone was just to the right of the "clock/time" on dash. When I was all done the orange ! triangle on left was on and there was a message to Check the Hybrid System." But it did not say 'stop vehicle...' ( I was in my garage ;) ).

USB, See if anyone at your dealer can explain why/how getting warning lights can happen when no code show on OBDII readers. Ask them to tell you what codes they read with their diagnostic system.

Did you check your VIN on the Toyota website?

What did the dealer include in the email? Would you go to the link that we all have checked our VIN's against to see if yours shows up there? If it does not, then we know that website is not accurate.
    Thanks

I be willing to bet the web site is either not correct or not up to date!
