I just changed my flasher and installed the Web Electric one-touch flasher. It is definitely an exercise in dexterity and self inflicted pain. I found the flasher by first moving the drivers seat all the way back, then lying on my back and feeling around until I felt the flasher. The pictures above are a lifesaver. It is so far up there I don't know how you took those pictures! It is located above the parking brake close to the drivers side. I could not see my flasher, but I could feel it and the blue wire connector pulsing with the turn signal and/or the emergency flasher.

I depressed the connector release using my right pointer finger. I tried several times and could not get it disconnected (and I was really pulling on it). It just would not budge. I gave up to rest for a few minutes. Then I finally got it. The key was to push the connector upwards (like you are connecting it), then depress the release tab, then pull down on it. I then pulled the blue rectangular wire connector down into sight and plugged in the new flasher and as others have done, zip tied it to an adjacent wire bundle.

    Hope this helps others.

Just finished replacing all the bulbs in the car with LEDs and the old flasher with an electronic one. If you adjust the steering wheel as far upward as it will go and put the driver's seat all the way back, you should be able see, between the bottom of the steering column and the top of the airbag cover, the blue of the flasher wiring connector near the firewall and to the left of the steering column. Then, you should be able to reach your arm up and disconnect the plug with your right hand, piece of cake. Plug in new flasher, zip tie in place.

Has anyone tried the VLEDS V3 TRITON switchbacks?

I don't think they would work very well in a Prius. The turn signal bulbs in our cars are not used as running lights; they only illuminate as turn signals or flashers, so there would be no point in putting in a bulb that runs white and flashes amber (because they would never be on as white running lights). They also look like a pain to wire in.

Any trick to disconnecting plug? Found it easy enough but can't get the connector off…yet!
