This is the only warning light that showed up yesterday.

    No other warning.

It came on 10 seconds after cold start (the car was parked for 4 days and unused), the engine was shaking for few seconds and I accelerated (then the light came on), I continued driving.

When I arrived at my destination I powered off the car and powered on again. the light disappeared.

    Today no issues.

I'm sure someone else will come along with a better set of advice for you soon -- but if this were my old Corolla, current Camry, or current Prius, the first thing I would do would be to check the brake fluid level -- you may find it a bit low.

Nobody knows how to read anymore? It is on PAGE 6 of the manual... RTFM

It is the "Brake System Warning Light"

I have a variation on the dog ate my homework -- the Mice peed on my manual and I don't like opening it anymore...:ROFLMAO:

Of course, that's why I suggested to the OP to check brake fluid levels -- it always made the lights in my other Toyotas come on intermittently if the fluid was lowish...so, if that is fine, I am at a loss. (what else is new  ) -- OK, no more posting today, the constant cups of coffee are making me ramble...

    Yep...it's a Brake warning light.

By the way, Toyota's Owners site is really a great resource. You can join and log in your vehicle specifically and then get a version of an online owners manual as well. Great for recall details as well.

There's a specific section called dashboard indicators.

Toyota's Owners site - is it a forum?

There are few extensions to this site, which one are you talking about (I've seen UK and Ireland and .com sites )

    2k1Toaster - yep I forgot how to read non-existing manuals .

Simply - I never owned set of manuals for prius

I gave my xp laptop to charity, now I use Samsung with windows 8.1.

As soon as I get second machine with XP OS on it I will install software required to run mini vci and I will diagnose the issue... (since I received it (mini vci), it is resting in the foil bag it arrived), perhaps this is correct time to use it.

    thanks for input everyone.

I don't have a paper manual either. But the free PDF is online from Toyota. There are no excuses for laziness.

I agree....or a quick check of google images....

But, on a related point....I wondered from the beginning how they would know the brake fluid level was OK, if they did not know that symbol was for brakes?

The brake fluid "tub" under the hood has the same symbol on it?
