test drove a new avalon hybrid ltd

    Toyo proxies are junk in my book. Take a look at the tire rack customer ratings on the Toyo proxies that they use on the Prius as OEM!

    it would be nice to have a tyre option when purchasing a new car, even if it meant more cost. i never keep my cars long enough to enjoy the tyres i really want.

    I certainly agree with you. When I bought my 2011 Prius it had Yokohoma tires. I drove them 10,000 miles and took them off and put Michelin tires on. A waste of money? I won't argue that point, it is just that I prefer Michelins.

    I'll bet it is the Bridgestone tires. They are garbage. Find an Avalon with Michelins and I'll bet you will notice a world of difference. It is unbelievable that Toyota will put Bridgestone tires on an Avalon. I test drove an Avalon Touring recently with Michelin tires. Smooth as silk.
