Aftermarket Headlights?

drunkin master - so your angel eyes and leds are hooked up as drl? do they light up with the headlights? if yes, then can you take a picture of them? in my project plans, I was planning on putting the halos behind the lip of the shroud. otherwise, i was told that the headlights would overshadow the angel eyes.

 

No I have it connected to my parking lights. I was planning on using them as DRL's but wanted my tails to be on as well. When my headlights are on you can barely see the halo since the HID's are brighter than them.
It does overshadow them for sure.
I will try to take some pics but later and post them.

Thanks for the daytime pics. I know it's hard to capture what the lights truly look like in sunlight though. I suspect that the LEDs stand out more in actuality than they are showing up in the pictures.

Still, the yellow halogens in the foglights are showing up very well compared to the LEDs.

 

The fogs are hids but the leds are a bit dimmer in the daytime.

Well, being in NY will make it a bit hard to take my car to your buddy's shop. Any chance the 5 LEDs used on each side available somewhere? I am considering doing a retrofit anyway, so drilling holes for this should not be that much more work.

From Japan. They are from the Prius G which is only available in Japan

 

What's the ball-park figure on how much your friend wants for this?
About home much time does he need to work on it?
I live in San Diego. I could make a day trip up to L.A. to get this done.

Yes. I got mine from a seller on Japan yahoo auctions. After all was said & done, it was ~$1200 although that was 2 years ago.

 

$1200...wow..do they make them with black housings and not all the chrome?

the headlights have it standard chrome as well as black chrome.

they just installed halo rings inside a JDM LED headlight.

Personally I don't think halos belong on a Prius.....but that's just me
