Please help me rescue this baby gekko !!

    He finally made it to the backside of the unit, after tipping the unit upside down for hours, covering the front lens area & focusing light through the vent hole from the rear.

    After numerous attempts at compressed air & low power vacuum (they hold on tight) the solution was to drill a hole in the back and free the poor lizzy. Will use some epoxy to seal it back.

    I think the Toyota dealer missed a chance for some good advertising. The "Savior of all little creatures"

    I'll bet Subaru would have done this for you in a heartbeat.

    Now you'll just have to live with spiders in the car without the gekko to eat them.

    Holy cannoli.....glad that worked out well for the little guy / gal. I had some pretty unpleasant possible outcome pictures going 'round my brain.

    I have plenty of Gecko's where I live - I guess I'll have to be on the lookout for them in my car! I occasionally will get one in my screen patio - they crawl in through the small drain holes at the bottom, but then can't figure out how to get out. They end up as shriveled Gecko jerky - same goes for the green tree frogs. They seem to just stop and die in the position they sleep during the day.
