A couple of weeks ago a took the plunge and bought black/black leather/black clazzio seat covers for my 2012 Prius. I debated on whether to order them for the longest time and searched hard for pictures of what the black covers look like in a black/dark grey 2012. I couldn't find anything that gave me total confidence in the look and quality of the covers. I came here to share my pictures and say to anyone who's hemming and hawing about clazzio covers - just buy them!

They look and feel very high quality, are well made, and the padding in them has made my seats more comfortable. The perforated leather smells like leather and the pvc portion smells plastic-y. The two smells sort of blend together so far - I'm waiting to see if one will predominate (hopefully the leather). They feel durable and really do look like factory covers, with the exception of the center armest. You'll see in my pictures I did not leave it installed because it looks very sloppy and aftermarket. If I can find out how to remove just the upholstered portion, I'll likely add a little padding and cover it in the clazzio pvc material to match.

Although they are not difficult to install, it's kind of a pain to do. I started with the backseat in case I made any mistakes I wouldn't have to look at them every day. Installation is easy but tedious. If you want them to look smooth you MUST do a lot of smoothing/pulling/straitening/forming/molding/more pulling/etc. If you put the work in though, you'll get a nice clean look. The back seats and headreasts took me about 3.5 hours. When removing the seat belt bolt on the rear bench seat, you'll need an extension on your socket wrench.

I did the front seats about a week later - after my hands were no longer sore. They went much more quickly - maybe 2 hours. You'll see in the pictures the driver side seat has begun to stretch out from use. I'm waiting for this to happen on all the seats, at which point I'll restretch everything tight again.

They certainly add an element of luxury to the car that's lacking with the stock cloth seats. I always felt like those cloth seats grabbed at my clothes and made me uncomfortable. Love the clazzio! I ordered from TRD Sparks and after ordering at $450 on their website, the price was adjusted down to $390.

*These pictures, like most others, do not do justice in conveying how nice clazzio looks. I've included a close-up to give you a better idea of the texture. Sorry some of them are sideways. Not sure how to fix that.

I think it's a good value, too. Well worth the time and effort.

Stunning!! I also ordered mine through TRD Sparks. Your install looks amazing.

I installed Clazzio's in my Gen2 and added heated seat kits to the fronts. Best investment EVAR. (y)

There are lots of pictures of it in gray online and in these forums. In fact, most of them are gray. Take a look around and you'll find what you need.

I thought about ordering the heat seats for the front but I heard bad things about them with Toyota so I did not get them. I am glad it worked out for you.

I'm shocked by how good those look. I've been contemplating Katzkins for a long time. I never considered these. But they look great. You did a really nice job. Thanks for sharing!
