Gray 2010 seems to have leather, the other one doesn't. They both looks like they have navigation.

Let's start with what you are looking for in the car? What are the important features? Budget?

I don't buy a new car to often infact I'm embarrassing to say but the last I bought was a Ford Ranger truck new in 1993 and I'm still driving it today with around 300k miles over 20yrs its crazy :)

So i was going to just treat myself to something nicer this time anyways these are the 2 i looked at today below

2010 Toyota Prius Five in Pompano Beach, FL- 10378689 at carmax.com

The car-max no haggle price on this one is about $19500 out the door tax tag and title

2010 Toyota Prius III Miami FL | Kendall Hollywood Fort Lauderdale Florida JTDKN3DU6A0135719
and this one I almost bought today they will do me $18500 out the door I told the guy if he could do straight $17000 out the door I'd buy today he came back and said best his manager would allow was $18500

Which one do you guys like better ?

The car max one is the best they make. It's a package five with advanced technology package

Really what does advanced technology package actually give you over the other one ?

I'm not sure what package the other has, could be a package 4.

The package 5 with advance package is a $5000 option. I'll list what I can remember.

bigger navigation screen,7 inch instead of 6
    Footwell lighting
    Should have luminated door sills
    Radar cruise control
    lane keep assist
    Parallel parks for you
    17 inch wheels
    pre collision system
All Windows automatic up and down
    Led headlights
    Fog lights

You have to decide what options you want in a car, not buy the car with options you'll never use. If you don't care about radar cruise, self parallel parking, 17 inch wheels, led headlights, all windows automatic....these are all luxury items that many can live without.

The other one is listed as a package 3, which has mainly all the options people can live with. It's a little less expensive and has fewer miles.

Really close in price car-max may give me more for my crappy old ranger trade in Theres no haggling with them on price but there also known for giving you the most on your trade in

Nice to have a loaded vehicle with all the toys if i can get it for almost the same price why not just the miles I'll be back to looking see what else is out there with the advanced package also

The price difference when new, the package 3 vs package 5 w/advance is about $7000 difference. I would think with the little price difference, the package 5 is a much better deal.

Wow my heads a spinning not sure which to choice
Went and took a second look at the one with the Advanced Tech System Here

The car does have the 17inch tires led lights fog lights and all other advanced tech features except the screen isn't 7inch i don't see that
I'm looking at approximately $1950k out the door the car has 64k miles Camax only gives u a 30day warranty
The vehicle looks a bit used with a few signs of wear on drivers seat and steering wheel

This other car is in 100% mint condition looks brand new 47k miles Toyota Certified with a 1 year warranty $1850k out the door

I wouldn't pay 20,000 for the one at car max. It just looks like a used car. However a mint condition one is worth considering

I agree definitely does look like a used car with a sad nice person Carmax 30day warranty . The other one looks mint like brand new its Toyota Certified with one year warranty its just some of those advanced navigation features are nice and the fact that its considered top of the line make it tempting is all

Maybe I need to approach this purchase from a different direction?

As I've been searching to find the right deal for me on a Prius the main things I've been looking for the must have things have been must at least have a full screen display and leather seats if i don't see at-least those features I would just go on to the next listing. But seems the majority of listing have just the basic system and cloth seats and most are more reasonably priced.

The main reasons I've only been looking for full screen is I really want backup camera , Satellite Radio and navigation but as i read through the forums here many people seem to say the Prius sound systems aren't that great the Navigation system sucks and that pretty much any after market GPS are better then the ones that come with the Prius ?

Do i have to buy with a full size display to get a backup Camera if not what? Where do you view backup on cars without full display rear view mirror ?

Is there some particular full screen after market systems that kick nice person and will give me everything i need backup camera and Nav Satellite radio that will fit and work in a size space of a standard radio ones that come with the Gen 3 Prius ?

As far as seats go since I'm going to put seat covers on it anyways maybe I'm better off just buying cloth seats then and getting some nice high end after market seat covers any suggestions on which to buy ?

The Toyota nav system is terrible. If you use nav a lot I would recommend just using a Garmin et al or your phone app and not the Toyota system.

didn't you just post a few posts up how it's important to have a backup camera, navigation screen, leather? do you really know what you want? I know you've mentioned your head spinning and such but it doesn't help when you have features you want and then look at a car without any of those features. it doesn't make sense.
